3 Week Challenge Update

Hello everyone! I don’t have time for a full blog but wanted to check in quickly. Let’s just go ahead and start with my goals chart.


Yep, as you can see I was completely terrible this weekend! Let’s see how it went…

emoticon I completely didn’t track my food. It is so tricky on the weekends with all of the meals out but I think its also out of laziness. I have the app I can track on. I chose not to. Boo on me.

emoticon I tried to make sure I was getting my water but it just didn’t happen. I wasn’t making it a priority at all!

emoticon Avoiding non-Paleo foods is again a little fuzzy. On Saturday morning, at Father’s Day breakfast, I managed to go almost completely Paleo. I got a ham steak topped with spinach and 2 poached eggs (it was the special but that had scrambled eggs). It came with homefries, which I ate (not *exactly* Paleo), and I had them hold the bread. Great! Saturday night, we went out for my birthday so I had never planned on being Paleo for that. Also, Sunday mornings, we always go to breakfast. Lately, its been our “cheat time” by stopping for bagels at a local shop. So that was planned. But the ice cream I had last night was not! By the reasoning from last week’s blog, I’m giving myself a success for Saturday and a 0 for Sunday. I just squeaked in a passing grade on that goal!

emoticon I didn’t work out for the last 4 days!

emoticon Obviously no running either. What is with me?! My marathon training program starts TOMORROW! I hope I’m able to get into my new routine this week and do my 6 miles this weekend! Rob has agreed to start doing my runs with me so hopefully that will help with my determination.

emoticon As for blogging, I was hardly on the computer at all this weekend! I think I really enjoy the time unplugged so to speak. I may rescind that goal and change it to “check in with accountability partners” since that was the reason for the goal. I did not do much of that either. Eek.

And finally, despite all this laziness and such, I have to admit that this accountability thing is working! I worked my butt off last week to hit my goals and plan to all this week too! Weekends still need a little work but I am so thankful to you guys that are here to help! And I am here to help you! And just as a little proof to myself that things were working…

I lost 5 lbs! emoticon

Of course, weight isn’t everything but I haven’t lost weight in almost 2 years so its something! My jeans are definitely fitting a little better and my belt needs a new hole too 🙂 Just going to keep sticking with this!

  1. congrats on the losing the weight! and dont get too worried about the weekend . you did great during the week!
    I also need to run 6 miles this week, but it is suppose to be in the 90s- EEK!!!

  2. Taking my measurements last week confirmed my “looser” clothing (rather fitting in the 6s and not busting out, which was still better than having to go up to the 8s…). Of course I want “more.” I hate that I backslid so far but that’s life.

    Pick up and carry on!

    I’ve been eating much better Paleo (and stricter) but had a freakout and went ahead to eat 3 slices of gluten-free (udi’s) bread with butter. It wasn’t actually THAT good but what I WANTED was sugar cookies (and it was too hot/ humid to turn on an oven or I’d have gone there–gluten-free but still).
