2012 Goals

I had a hard time deciding goals this year.  I feel like they are always the same!  So I made some measureable goals that will challenge me to work toward them.  Not too many and they are all fitness and health related.  I don’t really have any life goals right now.  I’m just going along with the flow with school right now so I don’t really have anything to change with that!  Anyway, here are my goals!

1.  Run 300 Miles
This one is obvious!  Last year, I ran about 222 (only what I used my Garmin for).  I figure with Marathon training and with being more consistent with my running, I should be able to aim for 300 pretty easily!

2.  Lose 5% Body Fat
I am up in weight again and I am up in body fat too, about 5%, so I can definitely get down again by 5% no problem!

3.  Run a Marathon
This one is sort of a cheater goal since I’m already registered for one but if anything happens (like injuries!!), then I will have to make sure to do one at the end of the year.  Maybe I’ll do 2 this year (St Louis??)?  Haha, we’ll see after the first one!

4.  Do a Fun Run
I want to do at least 1 fun run this year like a mud run or something else similar.  Maybe even a relay??  Something where my running will come in handy but its not the main focus!

5.  Do 5 Pull Ups
I had “do 1 pull up” but Rob told me to do 5.  I have never been able to do a pull up at all.  I have to start like yesterday on this one!  Eek!

Is it also time to take measurements.  Now, instead of disappointing myself by comparing to old measurements (since I am currently up), I will just report them and hopefully I will have better measurements to compare to later!  Fresh start!

Of course I am super dehydrated today while taking all these but hey, take what you get.  That means they can only get better!!

    St. Louis will be awesome if you join us! 🙂
    Ft. Dix Mud Run in Sept is a lot of fun…I did it this past Sept. as my first Mud Run and it was GREAT!!!

  2. Good luck, Ang! Especially w/ the pull ups – I can’t do them either and am always impressed with people who can. You go, girl!!
