Achilles Fasciitis?

First up, my smoothie of the day!  Today’s smoothie only made about 8-10 ounces.  Perfect because I only wanted a snack.

  • 1 Banana
  • 1 tablespoon Almond Butter
  • 1/4 cup Almond Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut Milk
  • 2 mini Lindt Truffles (or chocolate of choice)
  • 4 ice cubes
  • Sprinkle of Chia Seeds

I totally forgot to add my supplements today.  Oh well!  This was super delicious though.  I drank it right after my workout to hold me over til breakfast.  This was really sweet too so it was just the right size!

On another note, I’ve been sticking with my workouts so far this week!  Monday, I stretched a little and did my ankle/foot strengthening exercises.  I definitely think they are already helping as I was able to do a lot of the moves today during my Insanity DVD that would have been very difficult 2 weeks ago.  Yesterday, it was a little sore after my run.  It was less the ankle and more the back of the heel, somewhere between the Achilles tendon and the plantar fascia.  Maybe I should like, see a doctor or something…

Yesterday’s workout was a 4 mile run.  The goal pace was the same as my long runs so I just took my time but added a bit of a challenge by running over the bridge near my house.  Today I did Insanity Cardio Core & Balance which is the recovery week DVD.  It works a lot of your hip flexors so I figured it would help a lot with my running.  Like I said, I was able to do the hopping and jumping a lot easier today!

I’ll end it there today.  I have been trying some new recipes this week and even made a meal plan.  I need to do that more often because it keeps your meals exciting.  Most recipes are too complicated for me (because I’m lazy) but I found some basic ones this week that were simple to make.  I will blog about that tomorrow!  And to end, I made a collage of the baby chick photos from a few weeks ago.  They are already so big but these pictures were from the first few days when they were still fluffy and cute!

  1. Good going on the INsanity progress!

I don’t “like” recipes. I grew up just cooking and tend to be happiest when I just cook:)

    Veg, protein, some fat: done!

  2. Im not a fan of this blog title haha. It made me very nervous! I hope your heels are feeling better. And the chicks are adorable!
You are definitely kicking booty this week!

    1. LoL did you notice that the title is not an actual condition? Haha, I was mixing and matching. I really do think it might be my Achilles tendon bothering me though. It hurts sort of where it attaches to my heal. And that can lead to Plantar Fasciitis. Boo! Babying the thing!
