Two in a row! That’s right, I hit the gym two days in a row. That is pretty hard for me. Today, I work in the afternoon so I had to go to the gym at 6AM which is soooo early for exercising. I do like though that I don’t have to eat beforehand. I prefer to not eat before workouts. This morning felt pretty low key, I think because 1) it was early and 2) the morning class is less chatty than the afternoon class. We did some burpees, rowing, snatches, and thrusters. It just seemed very short today! But it still took an hour.
Today, I have the lab shift at work at 2pm today but I have meetings at 9, 9:30 and 11:30 so I kind of have to work all day I worked only 6 hours yesterday so that will be made up easily at least.
Meals planned for today are:
Breakfast: 3 egg omelet with cheese and side of veggies and potatoes
Lunch: Leftover pasta with white sauce, chicken, and spinach
Dinner: Lettuce wrapped hamburgers
Snacks: Yogurt with strawberries, Grapes
I’ll probably eat a few girl scout cookies later too. I hate that this “season” comes right after Christmas! And I’m not going to lie to myself. I will buy girl scout cookies! This year, I got them from my cousin’s daughter (niece? second cousin?) so I was happy to help her.
So the plan the rest of the day is just to work! Tomorrow, I think I will skip the gym since it is supposed to be sunny and warm out. I have those races coming up in April! I power-walked a mile over the weekend and my legs hurt. I WALKED a MILE! I think it was mostly due to the sneakers. I bought a pair of Brooks a few months back and I think they are just too padded for me. When you are heavier, they recommend well-padded shoes but I just find it bothers my legs and feet more than helps. I think the idea is that it will cushion your joints but I just find that it exhausts my muscles.
Anyway! Time to be off and start my day!
