Bridal Fun

It was yet another whirlwind weekend.  (It’s every weekend?).  I headed home Thursday evening and I have to say, I really benefited from having that extra night at home.  I didn’t feel like my whole weekend was rushed.  I enjoyed that extra evening spent with Rob.  And I got tons of work done during the day Friday while Rob was at work!  We will see if I can do that more often!

Friday was pretty uneventful and Saturday was spent at rugby all day.  The pictures are still locked in my camera and that is good because it wasn’t a pretty game anyway.

Sunday was a big day because it was Lauren’s Bridal Shower!  The shower was a surprise and her bridesmaids did an amazing job of it.  They had every detail worked out!

They even picked a day for a “fake shower” for which they very poorily pretended to cover it up that it was the shower.  Basically, they threw her off, making her think it was a different day so she was totally surprised!

They had brought her outfit and other beauty things for her to freshen up (she had just come from a charity walk) and she quickly came back to the party.

They had all the fun and games (and embarrassing photos)

They were super organized and everything ran smoothly.  What a great party!  I had a great time and I’m so excited for Lauren and Joe!

Health & Fitness

I did not run this weekend.  After a few days wearing sneakers, my ankle was hurting again (slight heels help it actually).  I decided its best to not get injured 2 weeks before the marathon.  Instead of doing 12 and then 8, I might just try and do 12 on Wednesday and maybe 6 over the weekend.  We’ll see!

As for my diet, it was awful!  Actually, I didn’t overeat really.  I just ate a lot of non-Paleo foods all weekend.  It was so nice to not have to worry about every single thing I ate, and accepting what was offered (because *everyone* eats bread), but by Sunday night, my body was not happy and kept me up part of the night.  Just goes to show that I really need to stick with the Paleo thing.  It was really nice though to not stress about food.  I wish there was a happy medium!

It is going to be a very busy week for me so excuse me if I miss a few blogs.  I will do my best to keep updating but if I don’t have anything to say, I might skip (because those are the days that are the hardest to write and take the most time!).
