5 Foods to Eat After a Stomach Bug

Happy Spring Break! The bonus of being in school is weeks off at a time except you don’t actually get off. I might be home but I have an overwhelming amount of work to do anyway. That long list of things I wanted to get done has barely a dent in it. It didn’t help that on Saturday sometime, I got food poisoning, again (that’s

6 Tips for Easy Healthy Food Prep

Following the Super Shred Diet requires a lot of planning ahead and food preparation. Rob and I spent about 3 hours on Sunday slicing, dicing, and baking almost everything we would need for the entire first week of the plan. This is in addition to the time spent shopping for all of the ingredients and pre-made foods we would need. Here are some of the

30-By-30 & Super Shred Diet

Weight: 181 lbs

Instead of the usual 30 By 30 update this week, I’m going to talk about “the plan” for the next few weeks.

I’m obviously stuck in a rut. My workouts are a bit irregular but getting better. My nutrition is great some days and iffy to poor other days. Something drastic needs to happen. I mentioned this week that Rob and I

Back Repair

I have an appointment for my chiropractor tomorrow! Yay! I know he takes drop ins too but I figured I would make an appointment to make it easier on the office. I can’t wait to get straightened out. My back just kept cracking all day, every time I moved (another sign I need to see my chiro).

The muscles are feeling much more relaxed today

My New Routine: Lifting, HIIT, and Low Carb

Back when I was new to working out, I just did whatever came along.  It was hard to get started but if I had a chance to do something, that is what I did.  I started with a workout game on my Wii.  Then it changed to training for a 5K that a friend was organizing.  Then I joined a gym with a friend who

2014 Goals

This past year has had a lot of ups and downs.  I set some pretty crazy goals at the beginning of the year, not really knowing what to expect.  Health and fitness wise, I feel like nothing really happened this year.  I didn’t run much, I actually gained weight, and I have nothing much more to report!  But I’m okay with that.  This year was

Getting Ready for Christmas

Merry Christmas Eve!  Finals are finally over.  I still have work I want to do over break but I’m not going to talk about that here!  At least it will be something to keep me busy?  There are other things though like getting my house in order, organizing, putting things away, etc.  Usually around Midterms, things start to go haywire in the house and nothing

Getting Ready for the Holidays

This weekend was pretty much spent getting ready for the holidays. Saturday, Rob and I decided last minute to go to the Grey Sharks rugby get-together (basically, all the alumni from the program). We had a good time there, and then headed home to relax together. It was a really nice day!

Sunday, my sister came over to help us clean and decorate a bit.
