Finding My Running Legs

I’m just not into it lately. I’m exhausted and stressed out (what else is new?) and I don’t want to feel like I have to workout. I enjoy running unless I feel like I am forcing it and lately it has felt forced. This weekend, I planned on running for 2 hours and I just didn’t want to. I was feeling really overwhelmed and I

5 Weeks to Philly Half Marathon

We all know I’ve been struggling to exercise lately. I get workouts in here and there but it isn’t enough, especially with the Philadelphia Half Marathon on the calendar next month! Well, here is my last ditch effort to train for that half marathon if it is the last thing I do.

I’m not going to go into my planning details for this but

Up and Running

Hey everyone! It has been a busy week around and I’ve been feeling really run down. We’re about mid way through the semester so everything is getting crazy. Lots of work, lots of studying, lots of research, little sleep.

So on Saturday, with everything piling up, I decided to stay home from rugby! I love being there for Rob but I really needed a day

Philly Half Marathon Training Plan

I have finally settled on a training plan I am happy with! For weeks, I have been trying to find a plan that fit all my needs.

Short, easy workouts on Mondays Rest day on Wednesdays Long runs on Fridays

My friend Brian is also doing the Peddle Paddle Run with me and was taking his kayak out on a lake nearby and invited me to paddle around a bit.  Apparently, the getting going was hard

Registered For My First Triathlon!

Because I wasn’t crazy enough, I’ve added another race to my schedule! I’ve registered for the Pedal Paddle Run – a triathlon of sorts… You see, instead of swimming, they have you kayak!

So not only do I not have to swim but I also get a break between riding and running. Have you ever done a brick workout? They are brutal.

There is

Philly in 16 Weeks

I’m a few days late on my training recap from last week.  Yesterday was my board exam and it wasn’t a great experience (not surprised).  But my running last week was GREAT!

I decided to try something new for my workout recap.  I’m not sure how I like it yet.  We’ll see!  Anyway…

I managed 4 runs last week!  That is rather a lot

17 Weeks to Philly Half Marathon 2014

Last week didn’t go so well…

I don’t really have an explanation, just some various excuses.  I was busy but I could have made the time for exercise.  There’s no reason my calendar should look like that.  Moving on!

How will I change things this week?  First, I’m not working this week, but I am studying for my board exam which is in exactly
