Weekend Tidbits

Well, my healthy weekend didn’t quiet go as planned.  I didn’t go crazy but I wasn’t good either!  First, I didn’t want to go for a run on Friday but had to do something active.  I ended up doing about 40 minutes of Zumba on our XBox Kinect and then we played some easy tennis.  Only 30 minutes in though, my ankle started to hurt,

Local Eats: The Ram’s Head Inn

My third and final installment for this year’s Atlantic City Restaurant Week is The Ram’s Head Inn.  This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area, so much so that I got married there!

This is definitely on the higher end of my restaurant budget but comparable to Steve & Cookies with entrees in the $25 – $40 range.  It is also a

Local Eats: Atlantic City Country Club

Up next on the Atlantic City Restaurant Week reviews is the Atlantic City Country Club.  This is located not too far from my house.  I wanted to meet my sister for lunch but she had to work so we wanted to choose someplace on the mainland (verses in Atlantic City itself) so she didn’t have as far to drive.

We went here last year and

Local Eats: Steve & Cookie’s

Last week was Atlantic City Restaurant Week and I’m lucky enough to live in the area. I was able to come home a little early from school (to avoid a snowstorm that never came), and this gave me the chance to tag along with my sister to Steve & Cookie’s Restaurant in Margate, NJ. We had been there for the first time ever back in

Reboot for Spring Break

Happy Monday!  Happy Spring Break!  I have “off” all week meaning that I don’t have classes but I’m expected to work (that is why they pay me to be a graduate student).  I have a ton of homework for my one class (nice stack of paper, right?) and if I have any extra time, that will be spent doing my research.  But first things first,

Local Eats Delaware: Sheridan’s Irish Pub

Rob and I have a small obsession with Irish Pubs.  I’ve always liked the laid back atmosphere of them and since Rob joined rugby, everything has been Ireland related (the team president lived there for like 10 years!).  After going to the country itself, it just solidified my love for everything Irish.  So when my friend at school who is from another country told me

Local Eats: Shea’s Café & Bakery

Ok, so far I’ve been to this place twice now (I know, I am slow at blogs lately!!!) and have loved it both times!  I was voted best breakfast blah blah something or another but a local paper.  Whatever!  Friends told me it was good and I should go.  So I went.

First time there, we arrived on a Sunday around noon and oh my

Local Eats: Dover Edition 1

Well, the game is up! I’m going to school in Dover, Delaware. While we were down there, moving into my school apartment, we had to find places to eat! Without much in the way of kitchen supplies and food, we sort of had to eat out. The first night, we stuck with chain restaurants but then we decided it wasn’t that good and we would
