Yesterday was full of ups and downs. I wasn’t feeling great all morning so I headed home at lunch to get my run in. I pulled up one of my old blogs on HIIT and decided to plug away at workout 1. It was a pretty hard workout and I was a sweaty mess when I was done!
So running at lunch sounded like an excellent way to wake myself up except it backfired. I ended up feeling worse after my run, more tired with a bout of nausea. Also, after every really hard run, I always crave fatty carbs. I had packed a lunch of salad with tuna but I couldn’t even look at it. I had to figure something out so I wouldn’t go for fast food. I decided Chicken Fajitas wrapped in lettuce would work for dinner and it was perfect!
Short recap today. As you can see from my chart, most of my goals are going well but I missed a day of being mostly-Paleo (ate a Cliff Bar after my run without thinking). I’m never 100% Paleo but eating granola bars is one thing I’m trying to avoid. Otherwise, my goals are going well!
The plan for today is to eat my packed foods (but I’m worried I didn’t bring enough so I may have a Kind bar later which is nothing but nuts and fruits so I’ll let it pass). I plan on a workout after work tonight, either strength training or yoga to let the legs rest a bit. I have leftovers from last night for dinner so I don’t even have to worry about cooking tonight! Love that! Happy Hump Day!!
Do you get specific cravings after certain workouts?
Running is the only workout that does this to me. I’m fine for other cardio workouts but after a hard run, I want something with fat and sugar (french fries, ice cream, etc.). I live within walking distance from Wendy’s so there is a very good chance that if I don’t plan, I could end up with something like this for dinner!
