Weekly Focus:  Eat Your Freggies

Last week, we concentrated on workouts. This week, I want you to really make an effort to eat your fruits and vegetables. They are a basis to any healthy diet and should be incorporated in abundance! I’m not going to give you a set number to aim for but my goal is at least 5 servings daily!

Monday:  Upper Body Workout

I can be very neglectful of my upper body strength and I believe most women are. I want to work on it more but it just seems to escape me… Today, make sure to workout your upper body. Here is a great workout from Women’s Health in just 4 simple moves!

Tuesday:  Tips on Eating Healthy

Today, I want everyone to think of a one tip to make it easier to eat healthy. I will compile all the tips into a blog the next day for easy reference!

Wednesday:  Lower Body Workout

Monday we worked the upper body so we can’t forget the lower body today! Here is another simple workout from Women’s Health if you need ideas!

Thursday:  Meditate

The holidays can be a stressful time. Take a few minutes out of your day to just sit in silence. Try to erase your mind from any worries also. You can try repeating a mantra to help, concentrating on your breathing, etc. Just sit in a comfortable position and lose yourself for a few minutes.

Friday:  Healthy Bucket List

I want you to think of a Health-themed Bucket List. Examples such as “Run a marathon”, “Get off my [inset curable illness here] meds”, “Break the 200lb mark for good”, “Inspire another person to get healthy”, etc. Think of 5-10 things and post them on the group page!

Saturday:  CrossFit

You have probably heard of CrossFit (who hasn’t?!). I loved when one of the Facebook Ladies posted a link to a simple CF workout online! So here is yet another workout from Women’s Health to try our your first CF workout! Or you can do your own CF style workout. Let everyone know how you liked it!

Sunday:  Recipe: Healthy Cookies

With the holidays upon us, there are sweets and treats everywhere and be honest, you are probably contributing too! Today, share a healthy cookie recipe with the group (or revamp an existing recipe). Maybe this year, we will all survive without a sugar crash!

  1. I know I am not doing the healthy holidays challenge, BUT I definitemly keep an eye on them. This week is perfect, I need more veggies, more relaxation, and I really want to try that crossfit workout. I had no idea they had some online!

  2. Looks like a great weekly challenge! I’m like Kristen, I read them, keep them in mind, but I am not actually doing the challenge…thanks for keeping me on my toes!! (I did 2 upper body workouts last week! Woo Hoo!)
