Inside My Lunch Box & More

First, this is my official announcement that you should not expect more than 2-3 blog posts for the next 2 weeks until the end of Finals.  Right now, I can get ahead but next weekend, I will have 2 take home finals, a term paper to write, and a full day rugby tournament to attend and photograph and help with (since you know, my husband the new rugby team president organized the thing!).  If you are in the area, come hang out!

So, lots of people lately have been teasing me about my lunch box.  I am used to it – I carry the Picnic thermal from Thirty One (link takes you to my friend Lauren’s consultant page – help a new mom of a 3-month-old out!).  Let’s just say it isn’t small.  So I get a lot of “do you have the kitchen sink in there?”  LoL.  I was also asked for pictures of what I put in my Rubbermaid Lunch Blox so I thought I would show you!

  • Lunch Blox filled with delicious things
  • Empty Reusable Starbucks cup (for when I get to campus)
  • 32 ounces Water in my Arbonne Water Bottle (isn’t it cute!  You can only get it through a consultant like me!)
  • Snacks
  • Vitamins
  • Utensils and Napkins

Here is what’s inside my lunch blox:

This week is a little strange because of leftover Easter food.  I have…

  • Mixed Greens
  • Salad Toppings – mushrooms, nuts, dried cranberries, feta, and dressing
  • 2 hard boiled eggs
  • Kielbasa
  • Baby Carrots
  • Strawberries
  • Polish Cheese Bread

I also pack my breakfast every morning to eat on the train.  I use my LunchBots Thermal which I have grown to LOVE.  Worth every penny (they are a little pricey).  Once it is empty, it goes into the cold lunch box.  (Shown containing overnight oats with banana.)

As for the other stuff in my lunch box, here is a close up.

I have my Arbonne Essentials Spray Vitamins (Vitamin B and B12 – both for energy).  Plus my daily vitamins – fish oil, multivitamin, Arbonne Essentials Metabolism Boost (this is a great deal on these right now!!! Ask me!), digestive enzymes, probiotics.  This is also always a granola bar of some sort, sometimes some trail mix, and Arbonne Essentials Fit Chews (basically little energy balls for when you are in a crunch!).

Sometimes I have even more stuff in my lunch box but this was a light day.  I ended up getting dinner at a food truck.  Don’t be fooled – the Philly food trucks are amazing and make delicious, healthy, fresh food.  And at only about $5 on average, totally worth it!  (The dinner shown was $7 with the Thai Tea.)

Otherwise, there would probably be a ball jar of soup in my picnic tote too!  As of yesterday, I have a new addition to my packed meals from Vega!

There will be a full review within the next day or two on the bars as I slowly try them.  I’m not usually a bar fan, as they always taste funny but I loved Vega’s protein powder (I dislike protein powders in general too) so I was super excited to try their bars.  So far, I’m loving them!  (These were provided for free for review purposes from Vega and FitApproach, but I only review products that I think I can give a positive review for.  All opinions are my own!  Full review to come!)

So there is a little sneak peak into my daily eating habits.  I almost always pack a salad, some sort of soup, fruits, veggies, and a trail bar.  I find that it is relatively easy to stick with healthy eating if you just keep it consistent.  I vary the flavors but the basics are the same!

If you are interested in the Thirty One Picnic Thermal (or any of their other, smaller or larger, thermals), check out Lauren’s consultant page!  Also, I wanted to tell you guys that they have a special this month for exclusive gym bags!!  You have to order before April 30th and then they are gone.  To get it, you spend $35 and then can order either (All Pro Tote or Pro Duffle) for $25!  I got the All-Pro Tote and I LOVE IT.

I’m currently using the tote for my school books and laptop but it has a nifty spot for a yoga bag so it is multipurpose!  Don’t forgot to also purchase a matching strap (like I did) because you can’t get the matching colors after the end of the month either!

So, you can buy the picnic tote for $35 and get the tote for $25!  I’ve talked about Thirty One before and how much I love their stuff.  Quality materials, cute patterns, and personalized embroidery (also on sale this month!!) just gets me every time!  Anyway, check it out!

Screen Shot 2013-09-23 at 10.14.19 PMAs for the Arbonne stuff, I am an independent consultant!  I have used many of their products (including the Essentials line of healthy products) and can help you with any questions you might have.  I don’t have my own page yet but if you want to order and become one of my clients, I would suggest contacting me directly to order (angela (at) thechickenscoop.net).  You can look at all of our products on Arbonne.com.  You can also put in my Independent Consultant ID # 14216657 at the time of check out.  If you do, you will be added to my email list with exclusive client discounts and deals!

Wow that was a lot of stuff for today!  I guess this should make up for the lack of blogging lately.  I hope you enjoyed everything!  I only tell you guys about products I really enjoy so never worry about me trying to sell you something (well, except maybe Arbonne technically).  I don’t get compensated for pushing Thirty One stuff – I just love it and Lauren is my consultant so I just refer her!  Enough for today.  Happy Friday!!

What is in your lunch box?

Are you obsessed with bags like I am??

  1. Wow! Lots of great stuff! Love your lunchbox…and all of the yummies in it. I get home in time now to eat (well, it’s about 2 when I eat) but when I packed a lunch, I packed a giant salad and everyone used to ask me if I was going to eat all of it at once…then after I’d finish, I’d have some other little snacky thing (dried fruit, nuts, dark chocolate…) they never could believe that I could fit it all in my belly!!
LOVE totes and duffels. I have a whole bunch of different Mary Kay bags, I haven’t been bitten by the 31 bug yet, I’m afraid to get one for fear that I’ll need more!

  2. Love your lunch box! I usually get looks and talk about my large lunch box too. But I would rather have lots of healthy goodies available! I need some fancy tupperware like you!
