Mud Filled Pictures

This weekend was pretty exciting as Rob and I were enlisted to photograph a mud run on Saturday.  It was the same one I ran last July, though they changed the course slightly.  I ended up being stationed at the Electric Shocker (yes, it does what you think) and had a blast taking pictures.  Here are a couple of my favorites:

We have the option of going to their next run again to take photos but it is about 3 hours away.  I had a ton of fun though, I’ll have to really think about it!  I don’t have any of Rob’s pictures on my computer yet but all the photos are at MuddyPhotos.com under Manchester April 13th.  Rob took the pictures under “Category X”.

Not much else to tell about this weekend.  I was pretty busy with school work and other life-important things.  I have to say, my eating was pretty terrible.  Saturday was a little out of my control but the rest of the weekend, I had no excuse.  I am ready today to accept what I need to do to start losing weight again.  That basically means doing what I need to and not what I want to.

Also, I didn’t run!  So I’m not going to even talk about that race lurking in the near future.  From now until the big day, the goal is to just do some cardio.  No pressure to run or doing any certain workouts – just do cardio.  The biggest reason I’ve been slacking is overwhelming amounts of school work and while I know it helps my sanity to work out, it is hard to justify a 2-3 hour long run instead of 2-3 hours of homework.  45 minutes of Zumba isn’t so bad though.  Heck, 30 minutes is better than nothing!  So let’s do this!

  1. Here I go being honest again. You have a 1/2 marathon coming up! You need to run! What are you doing Sunday? I’ll do some form of run/walk with you anytime between 10am and 7pm.

    1. I can definitely do a run/walk with you on Sunday. Sounds like a plan! And I do need to run, but something is better than nothing. School is just too overwhelming right now!

  2. Ah! I dont know why but I had wanted to do a mudrun until I saw those. Haha – I LOVE the action shots but they’re a great reminder that I don’t like mud. 😉

    1. You have to do one! It’s so much fun!!! Just pick one without an electric shocker obstacle. Honestly, I did this same run last year and it wasn’t that bad 🙂 And if all else fails, you can do push ups instead!
