That’s right, I’m giving up my goals! I’ve just got too much going on in life right now to add another stress over my eating and workouts. So here is what I’m going to do instead:
Eat real food.
Move a little every day.
Lift heavy things occasionally.
Take a little time each night to relax.
Concentrate on my schoolwork.
Spend time with my husband.
That’s it! I’m not going to set running goals, workout goals, Paleo goals. Its just too much to handle right now. Sure, it helped me lose weight initially but that was when I had more time, less stress. I was working regularly and when I got home at the end of the day, the rest of the time was mine. I have a lot more “work” time now and just can’t commit to planning and scheduling and watching every detail of my health. So I’m going to take it day by day.
The only thing I do have to worry about at all is the half marathon I have at the end of April. I actually have to train for that. But instead of worrying about miles, I’m going to change my training over to time training. That way, I can walk, run, whatever for that time, giving myself a break if I am extra tired one day.
Now, off to start my stress free day of eating whatever I want, exercising a little, and just getting stuff done!
