November Midmonth Goals

It’s never too late to make goals right?  I’ve joined a new fitness group on Facebook and boy are they accountable!  I love it!  So I’ve decided to help me stick with it (weight loss), I should make goals.  There are still 19 days left in the month!

As you can see, I’m not trying to make things complicated.  These are all things I should be doing anyway but I’m not most of the time which has lead to a slow gain over the last year:

Yep, 23 pounds gained over the year (plus some more the year before that).  This has got to stop.  It is one thing to say it and make goals but this time I have a plan:

  • I have a goal tracker app with a reminder on my phone.
  • I have a water drinking app with a reminder on my phone.
  • I have My Fitness Pal on my phone.
  • I planned out my workouts for the rest of the week in detail, around other work and events.
  • I will check in with my new group daily (and my other fitness groups too!)

So that’s the plan so far.  Like I said, nothing special or complicated.  I finally feel like I have this semester thing down.  I think I kept forgetting to look ahead at my workload so when the time would come, it was like a landslide.  Now I know.  This week is also pretty low-key in regards to homework and exams so that makes it easier to start!  Now let’s work on turning that graph into a negative slope Smile with tongue out

Do you prefer daily, weekly, monthly, or longer term goals?

I enjoy making monthly goals for little things like tracking foods and things.  I love making long term running goals and once I’m back up on my feet, you’ll probably start seeing training plans around here again!  Daily goals were never my thing because they were always the same thing every day, so essentially the same as my monthly goals.

  1. I like weekly goals (sometimes even daily! like make it to the gym! haha) I think thats great that you made goals for this month, and we are going to do this! I have to ask what is the new group and how do they keep you so accountable? Just wondering what they are doing different 🙂

    1. It is a Holiday Challenge group on Facebook – I can ask the leader to add you if you want?? It is some people you already know from Fit Chickies too. They are just on top of posting every single day. I think it is the fact that the whole group is in on it together rather than just 1 or 2 people posting here and there. Or we could try and make our group like that? What do ya think?

  2. ooh, I love the mid-month goals! I totally didn’t make November goals, but maybe I’ll make some mid-November ones! 😉

I actually like weekly goals– it feels like I get a fresh start more often? I feel like I’m bad about keeping daily goals, but a week is long enough to try to make things happen. I need a group to keep me accountable, that’s such a good idea!
