Plan for Week of Dec 2, 2013

Happy December! What a strange thing I’m doing – blogging on a weekend and late in the evening! But I felt like it so…

This holiday weekend was spent totally lounging. I should have done more school work but I did not and it is what it is. I spent time with family, with Rob, with myself. I got tons of de-stressing. I only hit the gym once sadly though (I really had hoped it would be more). Eating wasn’t too bad (except I think I ate too much for Thanksgiving but that is expected). Anyway, just logging in to just keep myself accountable for the rest of the week:

  • Monday (5:30AM): Lifting
  • Tuesday (5:30AM): C25K Week 2
  • Wednesday (5:30AM): Lifting
  • Thursday (5:30AM): C25K Week 2
  • Friday (7:00AM): Lifting
  • Saturday (Whenever): C25K Week 2
  • Sunday: Rest

emoticon I’ve done C25K Week 1 a few times (1 minute of running, 90 seconds walking) and its not very hard for me (yay!). I could probably even up the speed (I was doing 5.5mph, I could probably do 6mph). I am going to give Week 2 a try this week and see how it goes at the 6mph mark. I’ll change whatever I need to to make it work!

  1. I rest too long (waste time)
  2. Get bored doing low weight, high rep (more than 12)

This week, I will use the rest timer function on my app (JEFit – love it, it’s free, you should get it) to make sure I don’t waste lots of time. I also plan on making sure I keep on the low end of my reps (they suggest 10-15 reps). That means using enough weight. My last workout was really good (difficulty wise) so I have a good baseline to work with.

IMG_20131201_172425As for eating, well, I’m not really sure how to track or deal with that. Tonight, I made tons of leftover stuff. I have a rotisserie chicken that I pulled apart, turkey leg soup, and ham and veggie soup. I bought tons of veggies this weekend at the Produce Outlet that I need to figure out what to do with yet too. There are:

  • Beets
  • Zucchini (2 types)
  • Lettuce
  • Yellow Tomatoes
  • Grape Tomatoes
  • Garlic
  • Avocados
  • Chinese Eggplant
  • Cucumbers
  • Persimmons
  • Brussel Sprouts
  • Apples
  • Tangerines
  • Grapefruit

So if you have any recipe ideas, please let me know!!! Because I just buy whatever looks good at the store and then figure out when I get home 🙂

Okay, I guess its time for me to be off since I have to be up in 7 hours. Night!
