Running & Insanity

I just don’t know what to write today!  This is round 3.  Let me be concise and categorize!

Running
Yesterday, it was beautiful!  I woke up like usual but practically jumped into my running clothes when my phone told me it was 57 and sunny outside!  Not a bad nor good run overall.  I did 4.75 miles and couldn’t get into a rhythm the whole time.  Not a bad mileage for not running in a while.  The half marathon is in 2 weeks and I don’t know how it will go.  My fault for not training like I should.  I will try 10-12 miles this weekend but if all else fails, the time limit for the race is 4 hours.  At least I will finish in the time limit!

Insanity
Today, I did the fit test for Insanity.  I just felt like doing something so I figured why not.  I probably won’t start the whole program until after the race but I might do a DVD occasionally before then.  The cardio can only help my running!  Rob is excited to start but I want to wait so I don’t over-train before my race!  I skimmed some of the other DVDs and it looks interesting.  I will do the full 60 days either way!

Nutrition
My eating was pretty good yesterday.  Lots of veggies.  I packed all bread things for school but decided to buy a salad on campus.  Much better idea but I am trying to use up leftovers and things.  I can’t bear to throw away food!  Rob’s idea was to feed it to the chickens and then eat the chickens, thereby nothing is wasted.  LoL!

School
Next week is spring break but I don’t know how much of a break it will really be.  I have school work to catch up with and an exam after break (the one that was supposed to be right after Ireland got pushed back, yay!).  I also need to start my research project for my lab.  I have been doing reading but I am hoping that the laptop will come in soon and I can get started.  I am a bit in limbo with it now.  I have been overloaded with homework though so I guess it is a good thing.

There!  A much better blog than the last few drafts.  Now, I have to get ready for the weekend and get back to work!

    1. That is TBD 🙁 I had planned on being home at least a little bit but its up to my research advisor. I’m hoping since my laptop isn’t in yet that I will be able to spend a few days at home. I will let you know!
