Monday was my board exam and to celebrate/cheer me up, we went to the boardwalk again.
Tuesday was National Night Out so we rode our bikes to the park to check things out! 9.2 mile bike ride
Wednesday was pretty uneventful but we picked some veggies from the garden for dinner.
I almost forgot! I got my hair cut. It wasn’t short enough (see picture above).
Wednesday had been my grandmother’s 87th birthday so my sister and I went to visit her on Thursday. Isn’t she adorable?!
I brought cupcakes from Simply Sweet (winner of Cupcake Wars)
Friday was really uneventful as I had to run errands and go to work. I sat on the back porch for a little while with this pretty lady.
Saturday was spent in our usual way – Rugby! Rob scored 2 out of the 3 tries we had all day! (A try is like a football touchdown).
Saturday night, we stayed over in Pennsylvania since we were already there so we could go to the PA Renaissance Faire on Sunday. Classy night in at the Days Inn.
Sunday was at the Faire! It was Time Traveller’s Weekend so I did my best to dress like a girl version of the 10th Doctor, David Tennant (Doctor Who).
How’s my hair?
We enjoyed the food
I finally found a use for those pewter mugs we bought on our honeymoon!
The Royal Falconer
His Majesty King Henry VIII and his wife Catherine of Aragon (first wife)
A meeting of the Doctors
I just loved this girl’s costume (not an actor, just a patron of the faire!).
She got 2nd place in the adult’s costume contest.
And Jousting to end the night!
Needless to say, Rob and I were pretty pooped by Monday. His back hurt from the rugby tournament so he took off to go to the chiropractor. We did some errands and Rob helped me do some crafts for the next time we go to the Renaissance Faire. Apparently I’m pretty darn good at jewelry making still (it has been years!). You’ll have to wait to see. You know there will be pictures the next time we go! Let’s just say that next time, I’ll be saying “Yarrrr” a lot
I have a lot of Health and Fitness updates so I’ll save that for a separate post!
What fun thing did you do recently?
