Weekend Tidbits

Good morning!  So I haven’t been the best food blogger this weekend.  I didn’t take pictures of everything.  It is always so hard to keep track on the weekends!  Instead, I made some collages and will talk about more interesting things than food!

Friday Foods

Obviously not the best with those rolls, that beer, fried pickels.  Who am I???  We went out to dinner with a friend to Texas Roadhouse.  It is really hard to stay healthy there but I just put a cherry on top with some of my choices  At least breakfast (which I forgot here was an Amy’s burrito) was decent and same with lunch.  Let’s ignore that Starbucks Cranberry Bliss Bar…

Saturday Food

Pretty good choices on Saturday!  Actually, was doing excellent the whole day… And then those evil cookies reared their ugly heads.  I don’t know what it is with those stupid cookies.  Definitely a trigger food.  They will be gone very soon.  Dinner was delicious though, salmon over pasta with tomatoes.  Yum!

Other News

Thanks to everyone who entered the giveaway!  I don’t know how often I can do this because I want to send it to everyone!  Haha, but… Congrats to MSPRIS on SparkPeople who won the copy of the Eat Clean Diet!!  Rob would like to note that he will take bribes for next time (he drew the name for me).  LoL.

I got a special package in the mail!  A while back, I won a challenge on my fitness team on Facebook and I got this lovely prize from Carolyn (who is also on Spark People) along with a Christmas card!  How sweet!

I also made popcorn in the microwave on my own for the first time ever.  I just used a paper lunch bag and a spritz of olive oil and it popped just fine, just like the bags you buy!  Why did no one tell me this years ago?!DSCN5845 (600x800)

And Rob asked me to take a picture of his industrial mixer next to our Kitchenaid that we finally dug out of storage.  This just gives you a true idea of just how big this mixer is that he got.  I can’t wait until its all cleaned up so we can use it!

Fitness

So not fitness this weekend so far.  My thigh is still hurting so I’ve been resting it.  I am going to attempt my long run tomorrow (10 miles).  Let’s hope its all better by then!  Oh, and I’ve also been fighting off an almost-cold.  I sneeze sometimes and my nose is all funky.  I think it’s the dry air in the house.  Hopefully it doesn’t develop into anything!
