Great news! Grad school is officially done! Unofficially, I have to write a paper for my Capstone adviser but otherwise, I’m done! Graduation is on Sunday and will be really nice.
Even with all the excitement, I’m having a bit of a “What Now” crisis. The residency thing didn’t work out so I don’t have solid plans for the immediate future. I started applying for jobs but am only starting to get time now so that is slow going. In the meantime, I figured I should work on things I can control.
- I can apply for jobs.
- I can write a killer paper about my project.
- Being at home all the time, I can prepare amazingly delicious, healthy meals.
- I can get a workout daily.
- I can do things I enjoy but haven’t had time for (crafts, sewing, etc.).
- I can spend more time with friends and family.
If I look at it that way, being in limbo isn’t so bad! For the meantime anyway (really, no one wants to be unemployed).
As a kick off of my newfound freedom, I spent the day yesterday with my friend Callista who I have been friends with since 7th grade. We went shopping, had lunch, walked on the Atlantic City boardwalk. The usual friend stuff. I got a pretty new dress for graduation Sunday. She got some new maternity clothes for baby baking round 3.
Overall, it was a pretty awesome day. We got to spend lots of time together, I ate really healthy all day, I got 15,000 steps! So I’m doing pretty darn well on my new goals already
On that note, I am going to get moving and make today awesome too. I have to work my last shift tonight in Philly so that will pretty much take up my whole day but I can get a ton done until then!
You are doing awesome! ! One day at a time!!
Thanks!!
Congratulations on finishing school!
Thank you!!!
