WIAW: Rob’s Bakery

Rob goes back and forth all the time.  He loves eating low carb but he also loves baking bread.  He has been really cranking out the flour products lately and I’ve been loving it.  Here’s a sample!

This is just a pic showing how I use those new divided plates I got!  Veggie omelet, sweet potatoes and an orange.

This was Rob’s second attempt at baking hamburger rolls.  His first batch was square.  These were a little tall…

We’ve also been cooking chicken in the crock pot and keeping it for all sorts of meals.  4 hours on High cooked in broth makes the perfect chicken!

I never knew I loved Greek Yogurt with apples and granola.  Yum!

We also attempted some pulled pork and it was great!  The key was cooking the Pork Picnic in water, draining, pulling, and then cooking another hour in the sauce.  Of course, served on Rob’s hamburger buns.

Rob changed it up by baking some white bread.  It lasted 3 days (but we had company who helped eat it!)

Then he made me French toast!

And while we’re at it, why not make some pizza dough too?

This isn’t homemade but was just too pretty.  My Steak Rice Bowl at a local Mexican joint.

Smoothie from the mall.  Not pretty but it was too interesting not to share.  I said it tasted like “Coconut Flavored Lettuce” while my friend Callista said “Yummy Grass Clippings”.  Haha!  Either way, we both thought it strangely yummy:  Kale, Spinach, Avocado, Pineapple, and canned Coconut Milk.

What is your favorite thing to cook?

I love making pizza myself, mostly because I can load up the veggies and not pay $2 per topping.  My favorite combo is baby portabella mushrooms, goat cheese, and arugula with garlic butter as the sauce.
