I was asked to make a coffee smoothie so here it is! I have to say its not the same as having my nice steamy cup in the morning though. I’ll just have to have both!
- 5 oz Coconut Mocha Coffee with 1/2 tablespoon Hot Cocoa Powder
- 3 tablespoons Coconut Milk
- 1 Banana
- 1 tablespoon Espresso Peanut Butter
- 1 scoop Chocolate Protein Powder
For the coffee, make a small cup the night before and add the cocoa powder while it is still hot so it combines well. I have coconut mocha coffee for the Keurig but plain will suffice. Use whatever kind of protein powder you like in the mix. I use Healthy’N’Fit 100% Whey Pro-Amino because it was the most natural I could get at the store. I wonder how this would taste if I put spinach in it? Hm… Well, it looks like I’ll be having this same shake tomorrow because I still have coffee left (I made too much!) so that’s it for the smoothies this week!
Yesterday’s workout was brought to you by Mr. Bob Harper, that evil trainer we all know from Biggest Loser. He’s not evil you say? Well, do “Bob’s Workout” and then talk to me again. I was sweating buckets by the end of the 30 minutes. I had planned on doing both workouts for a full 60 minutes but by the end of the “Upper Body” part, my legs were complete jello that standing up from the couch was difficult.
After that, I tried doing some Rockin’ Body that I just got in the mail but my legs were just not having it. Instead, I popped in Shaun T’s Hip Hop Abs. I did “Last Minute Abs” which is only 5 minutes and I was about ready to die! It was an awesome workout day!
Tonight’s plan is to run 3-4 miles. I am going to bring my clothes with me to work so I can run wherever I want afterwards. I was thinking about going downtown again and exploring a bit more. I don’t know how busy the roads get though at rush hour. Off to have a health day!
