December Goals

What happened to November???  It was here and gone again in no time!  Now that its December, its time to make new goals.  I have not been doing well on my goals lately due to being insanely busy but school is almost over so at least for the last half of the month, I can work on things, right??

First off, its time to retest!!!  Yes, that means YOU!  For those of you who participated, its time to redo your Back to School Fitness Test!  I hope to get mine done this weekend but I have a whole load of work to do.  It will get done in the next 2 weeks though.  Let me know how you did!

Next up, here are my goals for this month.  I decided to keep them simple and short so I wouldn’t feel overwhelmed.

1000 Fitness Minutes, Running, and Water are all self-explanatory.  I decided I would track my spending again this month just to see where its at although I know it has changed already in the last 2 weeks or so.  Just want to see where I’m at!

And then there are “Healthy” Days.  I put it in quotations because its going to be very objective.  I’m going to decide how healthy it was.  But its not like I’m totally arbitrary.  I do have guidelines in my head that determine what make up a healthy day in my head.

  • 80% of my foods came from healthy sources like veggies, whole grains, meats, etc.
  • I made a solid attempt at drinking 8 glasses of water that day.
  • I got at least 5000 steps, work/school permitting (i.e. I didn’t sit on the couch for 8 straight hours).

So that is really my general basis.  I will decide how healthy a day was and decide if I can mark off my goals or not!  I think 25 will really be a challenge, especially with finals and the holidays coming up but why not shoot high, right?

School
Things are going to be nuts for the next 2 weeks.  I have 1 presentation (Monday), homework (due Monday), an exam (Monday), a possible take home exam (Monday-Tuesday), homework (due Tuesday), 2 finals (Wednesday), possible homework (Thursday), Take home final (Wednesday-Friday), a 4-5 page paper (Friday), and another final (Monday after next).  So please forgive me if I forgot to blog or just disappear for the next week or so.  On the bright side, I will be at my apartment next week so I will have lots of time to work instead of commuting.  I’ve also got plans to run with a fellow student on Tuesday and Thursday.  She is going to show me some parks and stuff around the town where I can do my runs!  It will be nice having a running buddy too!

That’s it for today.  Only 25 more days til Christmas!

How did you do in November?  What are you goals for December?
