Not (Really) Injured!

Good news!  I saw my doctor this morning and I do not have a stress fracture.  It is a stress reaction to that run I did a few weeks ago – basically the bones are inflamed.  He was glad I came in and caught it early so I can baby it before it gets worse.  Basically, I just have to rest, ice, elevate, and no running.  All fine with me!  The only dilemma is all the walking I need to do at school but it is what it is.  If it still hurts in a few weeks, I’ll have to wear a “hard-soled shoe” so I’m hoping it will stop hurting before that.

On the bright side, I am allowed to:

  • Bike
  • Swim
  • Upper Body Weight Lift
  • Use the Weight Machines for Lower Body
  • Wear my regular shoes (No boot! Yay!)

So happy!  I can put off running for a run months for the sake of a healthy foot.  I’ll get back into it when I’m feeling all better Smile  I’m just glad I can swim and bike instead!!!

On another note, I’ve been trying to dress up a little more this week instead of depending on jeans and a shirt all the time.  My outfits aren’t actually that far off from jeans and a shirt but with accessories and a little more work, they all look really nice!

I’m going to do a little Dress for Success challenge for myself for September to expect to see lots of pictures of outfits.  I just want to make sure I don’t slip up on my cute outfits out of laziness!

No other big news.  The first day of classes was pretty good but very hectic.  The weather was awful though and is today too.  The humidity is through the roof and it was pouring rain yesterday.  I hope it starts to cool down soon because I hate this kind of weather!

It’s time for me to be off and get ready for my day.  No workout today since I had my appointment this morning but I plan on hitting the gym tomorrow.  Doing what I can with this crazy hectic schedule!
