Happy Hump Day! So far, work has been going well. Everyone is really nice and open to help me out as I learn the software and everything else. It has been a lot of information but I am still enjoying it anyway. So far so good!
I figured before I started that I should just jump in with healthy habits right away. Sunday, Rob and I managed to do some meal prep despite the power being out. That made it super easy to eat healthy Monday and Tuesday.
Breakfast: 3 eggs with veggies and cheese. Slice of raisin bread with butter. Tea with cream and stevia.
Lunch: Cobb Salad (Mixed greens, chicken, 1 egg, 1/4 avocado, tomatoes, bacon, avocado ranch dressing)
Monday night, we got burritos for dinner which wasn’t low calorie but oh so delicious. Tuesday was fine though as I just had some leftover sausage and steamed broccoli with cottage cheese and strawberries for dessert.
Monday, I also made sure to do a DVD right when I got home before I could think about it. It was easy because Rob wasn’t home so I didn’t feel the draw of the couch. I did Body Beast Cardio and loved it! I like that he goes hard for about a minute and a half and then gives you complete rest time after. I feel more refreshed after his workouts than exhausted.
Tuesday, I chose Les Mills Body Combat but I just wasn’t feeling it and only made it 12 minutes into the DVD. I think I was just tired from a long day and getting hungry for dinner.
I was hoping to get some runs in this week but it got very cold yesterday. I’m hoping that it doesn’t last too long and I can get back to C25K. In the meantime, I’ll keep doing various DVDs.
I almost forgot! This job, while a desk job, has had a lot of walking so far since the offices are on a different floor than the computer lab. Tuesday, I checked my FitBit when I left work and it was already at 5,000 steps. That is great for not even trying!
Have a great day everyone!
How do you get in extra steps each day?
I am thinking about using a smaller water bottle so I have to get up to fill it more often. I’ll wait until after I’m done training/shadowing though and my schedule is my own.
You have been doing awesome! All your eats are so colorful too
