New Isn’t Forever

Such bad news today.  My Jeep got its first door ding!

I am really sad about that, and it is right under the handle on the driver’s side door!  So every time I get in the car, I can see it.  Phoo.  Anyway, I’m not in the blogger mood today so I’ll just recap my goals from my 5 Day Pledge.

Yesterday, I decided I really do need help making sure I get enough water in.  It is always a struggle for me.  I previously used the app “Drink Water” but I had grown bored and needed something new.  I downloaded “Water Your Body” and I love it so far!  It is almost exactly like “Drink Water” but there are different cups and you can set their sizes (Drink Water only counts 8 ounce glasses).  I love the cute look of it!  And I totally killed it on my water.  72 ounces is a lot for me when I normally struggle with 64!  Awesome!

emoticon Goal:  Eat healthy, fresh foods.

This one was super easy.  I had my leftover Lamb Roast for lunch with broccoli.  For dinner, I had leftover roasted chicken that I made on Monday.  Last night, I cooked Gumbo to last me for a few days (recipe to come).  Oh, and I’ve had my beautiful Nikon camera with me all week so wait til Friday when I bomb you with beautiful food pictures!  Get ready to drool 🙂

emoticon Goal:  Exercise every day.

I worked out first thing in the morning yesterday: a quick 20 minute strength training session and some Insanity cardio!

emoticon Goal:  Do 1 relaxing thing each day.

Before bed, I read some of my favorite book, Pride and Prejudice.  It is an easy read for me and I enjoy it too much to stress over other things while I’m reading!

emoticonGoal:  Report my progress here…  Done!

The plan for today is to get a short run in and another moderate strength training workout.  Or just a long run.  Depends on my mood!  And the healthy eating is going really well this week.  Its so much easier when you just refuse to leave the house!  But I’m running low on fresh veggies so I may need to venture to the grocery store before my trip.  Repeat:  I will not go down the ice cream aisle!  (I will stop at Cold Stone instead!  What?  Who said that??)

Great job on your goals! 5 days is going to be easy-peasy… It’s so much easier when the momentum starts to swing! Yeah! Keep it up!
