Fitness Report & Philly Museum of Art

Happy mid week!  This week has been especially stressful for me but I don’t feel like talking about that.  How about some health and fitness updates?  Last week, I killed it on the workouts!

Friday, I decided to stay home from Bullpen which was a good thing because I ended up getting an important phone call.  I did my C25K run and then popped in an old DVD Bob Harper Inside Out Method Cardio Max.  I really like the Bob Harper DVDs I own and forgot what tough workouts they are!  I was dying and might add these into my rotation more in the future.

On Sunday, Rob and I went with some friends to the Philadelphia Museum of Art.  The place is HUGE and we spent over 5 hours walking around the halls seeing all the beautiful things.  Of course, my Fitbit went dead!  So none of the steps counted…  I have tons of photos but here’s a little collage of my favorites!

They have tons of paintings but also lots of other things, even complete rooms from buildings that were destroyed or torn down.  Such an amazing place and I could spend days exploring!  Definitely a must see if you visit Philly.

2016-03-09 17.50.13This week so far, I’ve only exercised once and that was today.  I was really busy and stressed out the last few days.  Today, I was really feeling it and knew that a workout would help relieve some of the stress.  I definitely felt better after the run and am glad I went.

Today’s C25K schedule was Week 4 Day 1.  I didn’t check the schedule before I left the house so I didn’t know what to expect.  I thought there was only a single 5 minute run but I was wrong and there were 2.  I didn’t make it through the entire second one and cut it short at 3:12.

After my run, I tried playing in the fitness area at the park but I couldn’t really figure out what to do and my legs were too pooped for much of anything.  I attempted some single legged squats but couldn’t get low enough, even holding onto a pole.  My knees were too sore!

That’s pretty much it for today!  I need to work out tomorrow and I plan on hitting Bullpen on Friday.  I also need to get my third run in for the week on Sunday.  We are having great weather this week which is making it easier to want to get out there!
