New Stress Levels

I have been a very bad blogger around here lately.  I just have a whole new level of stress happening right now and its hard for me to be light and airy on here.  I also had lots of topics to talk about but couldn’t seem to compose them in a way that made me happy so how about just a Health & Fitness update?

Health & Fitness

IMG_20130623_134559Fitness, what is that?!  I admit I have been slacking.  Rob and I did a bit of lifting over the weekend but nothing too serious.  I want to start lifting again and so does Rob so we worked on finding out 1 Rep Maximums.  This set us up to be able to start a program a friend recommended from Strength Standards.  It is just like the lifting Rob used to do so he is really excited to start.  When you punch in your stats, it gives you various options so now we just have to pick one!  Maybe just the one lift per day and do whatever else we feel like?  We’ll see!

PhotoGrid_1372200911080As for “dieting” which you all know I don’t do – I do however flip flop over tracking my food and right now I’m not tracking.  I’m still sharing pictures with friends for the month of June but not much more than that.  I know when I’m eating too much, not enough (never a problem), etc.  Besides, the real problem here is that I need to move more.

On the bright side, even with all this extra added stress right now, I’m holding my health up ok.  I might be a little lazy but I’m not running for comfort foods.

I am having trouble concentrating on my work though.  Exercise and movement should help with that too and avoiding junk food and grains.  Instead of worrying about it all, I’m just taking it day by day.  Making sure each meal is a good choice and thinking about what goals are important to me.  Hopefully all this stress will settle down one day!

On a side note, thank you to everyone who entered the FrogFuel Giveaway!  The winner is Carrie and she has been notified via all possible outlets.  If I don’t hear back from her, I will pick a new winner tomorrow so please respond ASAP!

  1. I am so sorry to hear about the stress. I know that that doesn’t help with our healthy eating and working out. I feel like that is the last thing I want to do, but when I do find the energy, I feel that it actually helps ALOT ! the hardest part is just getting out of the house, or away from the junk food. The week I haven’t been eating great at all, Im sure the scale will tell me tomorrow…eekkk

  2. Try to keep focused on the positives. If you had a great meal (and by that I mean you made good choices!) then applaud yourself for it. If you did a workout, celebrate that victory. Focus on what you ARE doing to be healthy. It will begin to build and snowball…you’ll get back to where you want to be, for now, just focus on what IS working. Positive thoughts bring positive results. Focus on that!
