Focus Is On Its Way

I am so excited…  This little treasure is on its way in the mail!!!

T25Pack

If you guys have been around for a while, you might remember that I did Insanity in 2012.  I really loved the program and saw some major strength and endurance gains from it, but I didn’t lose any weight.  I now realize the lack of weight loss was probably due to some weirdness happening with my digestive system.  I also busted up my ankle due to going too hard to quickly (overtraining) and then running a marathon on it…

But I still loved doing Insanity every day and really felt motivated to stick with the program.  The workouts were incredibly long some days though, and I fear doing the program again in case I irritate my extra talus bone again.  Nothing seems to be getting me off the couch lately though (or away from the homework rather).

Then my good friend Kristen texted me with a question – what did I think of her doing Focus T25?  Well, I instantly said that I would be jealous because it seemed so cool.  I hear it is similar to Insanity but only 25 minute workouts instead.  Long story short, we agreed to do it together and we start on Monday, May 5th!

I’m so excited about this because:

  1. I love Shawn T.
  2. I have a solid accountability partner in Kristen.
  3. T25 will just tell me what to do.  No decisions to make.
  4. Going from sedentary to 25 minutes of high intensity exercise every day should make me lose some weight/fat.
  5. I can take this with me to Florida.

I’ll also have to pair this with a decent meal plan, but I find I am less hungry when I work out so that should be in my favor.  I’ll talk more about that another day.  For now, I am super excited to get started on this journey with Kristen!  We welcome anyone else who wants to join us.  We’ll be keeping each other accountable on my Facebook Group Fit Chickies (open to women and men) and through weekly blog posts and link-ups.

In preparation, this week, I am trying to get in at least 20 minutes of exercise on my off days (last day of classes is tomorrow so I’m home free soon!).  I don’t want my body to be too surprised on Monday.  I’ll just be dabbling in whatever feels right until them.  I’m so excited to start this new program!

Have you ever done a Beach Body program?  Tell me about it!

Will you commit to 10 weeks of workouts with Kristen and me?  25 minutes per day, 6 days per week!
