Hello! Sorry for the lack of blog yesterday. Mondays are hard for me as I have to drive to school and then its non stop for most of the day. Anyway! On to the weekend recap…
I almost don’t even want to talk about this weekend… It all started on Thursday with my lack of determination to eat well. A burger with sweet potato fries and a beer. Totally delicious. Totally bad for me. Friday night was pizza.
And check out breakfast Sunday morning: Italian Bread French Toast topped with hot syrup and nuts. Seriously, it sounded good but really wasn’t all that great. I should’ve gotten the Freaking Awesome Pumpkin Pancakes Rob ordered the healthy veggie omelet for breakfast. In my defense, I didn’t know it was Italian Bread and not regular bread slices. It was ok but not as good as Rob’s pancakes!!!
Check out my calories for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. A –500 would mean I would maintain weight so that would be ok. These numbers mean I would gain!
I’m going to continue to track my calories for as long as I need to. It will be very difficult this weekend while Rob and I are in St Louis for the marathon! I’m not going to worry too much about calories but I really do need to rein in the cheat meals. They’ve been too often lately. But I will be treating this weekend as a mini vacation. Luckily, since I’ll be running Sunday, I can’t eat too terrible because then I would feel bad on race day! Ha!
The rest of the weekend was pretty uneventful. I cleaned the house and the monsters cats weren’t any help, even breaking my one and only vase from my wedding. Saturday was nothing but errands and homework. Sunday was more homework and a Thirty-One Party at a friend’s house.
That’s it for today! I can’t use up all my blog topics and fun in one day This week is going to be a little crazy but I will try to make sure I post at least on Wednesday and Thursday. My flight to St Louis on Friday is early in the morning so unless I write one to post automatically, I probably won’t have time! Now, off to start my day!
If you’re planning on eating poorly in STL, you must get toasted ravioli. It’s a STL thing. It’s regular ravioli that’s deep fried and you eat it by dipping them (hand-held) into marinara sauce.
People always push The Spaghetti Factory but I say DON’T DO IT. It’s truly some of the worst “Italian” food I’ve ever had and that’s consistently over 20+ years. If you want Italian, eat on The Hill (“little Italy” of STL). I also recommend Llewellyn’s (multiple locations) for English-ish food that’s rather tasty.
Lily mentioned the Hill, and I live right next to it! So if we need carb loading before the race, we can get it there! hahah
