Running in Nature

Yesterday was a day full of boring tasks:

I washed some dishes I did laundry I wrote a blog I hunted for jobs online I went for a run I finished reading my book

That’s pretty much it! I need more interesting days, I feel like I am boring myself to tears. I even read a part of a physics book yesterday for some mental

Body Composition Analysis with Jersey Shore Sports Medicine

Yesterday, I stopped by Dr. Brian Sokalsky’s office, Jersey Shore Sports Medicine in Ocean City, NJ, and we did a Body Composition Analysis using his SECA mBCA system.

Without going into the technical details, the system basically sends electrical pulses through your arms and legs and measures the impedance on the signal. It took about 5 minutes going through all of the prompts

April Fool’s Day Fool’s Challenge 7K & Half Marathon

I ran 17.45 miles this weekend.

Technically it was a run/walk but still, I can’t believe it ! I’m not even that sore surprisingly. But more on that later…

This weekend, I ran the Atlantic City April Fool’s Day Fool’s Challenge which consisted of a 7K on Saturday and a half marathon on Sunday. There was also the option to do the Jester’s Challenge

Local Eats: Sunrise Café

Last week, my sister and I met up for breakfast and decided to try a completely new place.  Neither of us had ever been there and now that summer is over (after Labor Day means the tourists are gone!), we could happily enjoy breakfast in a beach town without fighting for parking or waiting for a table.

We headed to Ocean City, NJ to the

Monday was my board exam and to celebrate/cheer me up, we went to the boardwalk again.

Tuesday was National Night Out so we rode our bikes to the park to check things out!  9.2 mile bike ride

Wednesday was pretty uneventful but we picked some veggies from the garden for dinner.

I almost forgot!

Running on the OC Boardwalk

What a week it has been! I’ve been struggling to study. It just isn’t something I was ever good at. I always learned as I went. I hate exams. But anyway. I’ve been reading so hopefully enough will stick that I can pass this exam on Monday. If not, I can take it next year (for another $500…). Anyway!

Rob and I have been rocking

Local Eats: Uncle Bill’s Pancake House

When my sister first told me the name of this place, I giggled a little because I have an Uncle Bill.  Anyway, she claimed it was amazing and we should go since I wanted to try someplace I’d never been before.  Off we went!

The location we chose (there are several) was the 40th Street one in Ocean City, NJ.  I expected it to

Atlantic City Restaurant Week 2014

Last week was Atlantic City Restaurant Week!  I didn’t find out about it until the very last minute and I hurried to figure out my dining schedule on my limited budget.  It was about $15 for lunch and $34 for dinner per person.  I also make sure I go to restaurants that are “worth it”.  That is, that I get the most bang for my
