Good morning! This week has been well enough so far. This past weekend, Rob and I were pretty busy but no pictures. The big downside is that my allergies have kicked in. I did not go to Bullpen on Friday nor Monday. I can barely breathe and I cough a lot so the high intensity of those workouts just isn’t happening. Sadly though, I didn’t
This weekend ended up being busier than I expected, but I made my run happen. Rob and I were having his parents over for breakfast on Sunday so I made sure to do my third run of the week on Saturday morning. Do you know what that means? I didn’t miss a single workout this week, and I exercised 6 days in a row!
Today’s run did not go as planned. I decided to go with timed intervals instead of distance. I just picked a 2:1 ratio of running to walking and got started. It quickly became apparent that it wasn’t going well, and I needed more walking than that.

Even though I haven’t been recapping my workouts lately, I have been hitting Bullpen on a regular basis. Actually, in 8 and a half weeks, I’ve only missed 2 workouts. And I only missed those because I had someplace important to be – and I didn’t skip exercise that day! I made sure to exercise at home those days instead.
Today officially marks the start of my new journey into running! I’ve made a training schedule for the next 7 months, all leading up to the Philadelphia Rock’N’Roll Half Marathon September 18th. The schedule is very slow and gradual but I don’t want to rush anything.
