April Fitness Challenge

I can’t believe it is April! That means there is exactly 1 month left in this semester and my first year of Medical Physics grad school is over! OMG! I’ll be halfway to graduating! How exciting is that?!

But in more health related news, I think we are all feeling a little run down from winter. We are all in need of a little refreshing

Review: TwoGrand Smartphone App

For the past few weeks, I’ve been using a new app to track my food called TwoGrand, and I’m in love. I had been looking for an easy way to visually track my food and exercise and keep it all in one place. I want my healthy lifestyle to be sustainable and I don’t want to have to track every calorie I eat for the

30-By-30 Week 11

This week was pretty much a wash so I’m not going to do my usual update.  It started with that bought of food poisoning.  Then I basically spent the rest of the week trying to recover and catch up on my school work.  I did manage to hit the gym on Thursday for a Zumba class since I was feeling better.  Now, I feel

A Personal Health Plan with Arbonne Essentials

As you might know, I signed up to be an Arbonne Independent Consultant a few months ago because I loved their products so much. Most people know them as a skincare and cosmetics company – the home-show that I do includes an entire facial! But they also carry an entire life of healthcare products that I was super excited to try out. I finally got

5 Foods to Eat After a Stomach Bug

Happy Spring Break! The bonus of being in school is weeks off at a time except you don’t actually get off. I might be home but I have an overwhelming amount of work to do anyway. That long list of things I wanted to get done has barely a dent in it. It didn’t help that on Saturday sometime, I got food poisoning, again (that’s

30-By-30 Week 10

Weight:  179.6 lbs

While this is a 1 pound loss from last week, I’m not counting it until I see more come off (because I fluctuate between 179 and 181).

Nutrition:  Better

While I didn’t follow Super Shred exactly, it has really helped me create better, healthier habits.  My snacks are immensely healthier.  I’m eating more veggies and appropriate serving sizes.  I’m drinking more tea

6 Tips for Easy Healthy Food Prep

Following the Super Shred Diet requires a lot of planning ahead and food preparation. Rob and I spent about 3 hours on Sunday slicing, dicing, and baking almost everything we would need for the entire first week of the plan. This is in addition to the time spent shopping for all of the ingredients and pre-made foods we would need. Here are some of the

30-By-30 & Super Shred Diet

Weight: 181 lbs

Instead of the usual 30 By 30 update this week, I’m going to talk about “the plan” for the next few weeks.

I’m obviously stuck in a rut. My workouts are a bit irregular but getting better. My nutrition is great some days and iffy to poor other days. Something drastic needs to happen. I mentioned this week that Rob and I
